MUSSOORIE: Pointing at various cases of mob lynchings in the country, former CM
Harish Rawat said that such violence was dividing the nation and the Congress would fight to get rid of the evil. Rawat was in Mussoorie to attend an event organised by Congress workers to celebrate the appointment of the former CM as national general secretary of the party. Rawat added that Congress’ motto in the 2019 General Elections would be ‘Save Democracy, Save Constitution, Save Nation’.
“Rafale deal will be a big issue in the elections as it is the biggest defence scam of the world.
The Congress will raise the issue at various platforms including the parliament,” he said.
Rawat also said that it was the Congress which had removed illegal immigrants in the country.
“In 10 years of UPA rule, we removed more than 85,000 illegal migrants. In its four years, the present BJP government at the Centre has removed only 1,200 illegal immigrants,” he said.
